Key government agencies such as the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Office of Transportation Cooperatives (OTC), and Alliance of Transport Operators and Drivers Association of the Philippines (ALTODAP), and Pasang Masda, have attended the presentation conference and expressed their support and recognition to the GEEP.

Along with the Republic Act. 11697 or the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA), Basic Energy discussed the Green Energy E-Transport Program (GEEP), supporting the national agenda to modernize the public utility jeepney (PUJ) transport and encourage renewable energy sources in the Philippines.

Green Energy E-Transport Program (GEEP) solarized EcoOil EDSA Mandaluyong and installed battery storage facilities and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations to serve as one of the pioneer stations to implement the GEEP ecosystem. The Ecology Builders Development Corporation, a local assembler allied to Basic Energy, will also hand over Class 2 e-PUVs such as the Love e-bus and Iconic e-Jeepney to support the program.

Basic Energy also envisions having a transport and energy hub called “Basic e-Hub”, containing the GEEP Ecosystem incorporated along with a planned solar farm with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The planned hub will include an e-bus terminal, a sales and maintenance center for the e-buses, restaurants, and stores for the local communities. Basic Energy aims to mobilize these projects by deploying 6,500 e-buses nationwide within the next five years.
